Whether you desire a traditional, contemporary, or Hawaiian-style wedding or civil union, Reverend Kuya always brings his warm-hearted Aloha Spirit to your cherished day. After the initial welcome, the couple is invited to share a brief meditation on the word "Aloha" and a pause to allow for a deep "Aloha Breath." (This moment of silence and reflection can help calm those jittery nerves and regain focus, or so we've been told frequently!)
Rev. Kuya's conch shell then ushers in the formal part of the ceremony, beginning with the traditional Hawaiian lei exchange between bride and groom. He then offers his thoughts and prayers about the auspicious day unfolding, before asking for a declaration of the intention to marry from the couple. This is followed by a blessing of the rings and their exchange between bride and groom. A Hawaiian benediction leads to the couple's being pronounced husband and wife, underscored by Rev. Kuya's blowing of the conch shell once more, to conclude the ceremony. As an interfaith minister, Reverend Kuya is fully open to incorporating your wishes for your special day.
